Strength & Stability Assessments at Wasatch Integrative Medicine
Strength & Stability, personalized to you

Physical strength and stability are not just athletic qualities — they are foundational pillars of long-term health. Declining strength and mobility contribute to injury risk, chronic pain, metabolic dysfunction, hormonal imbalance, and accelerated aging. They also respond meaningfully to the right training stimulus, at virtually any age or fitness level.
The Strength & Stability Assessment & Plan at Wasatch Integrative Medicine is a fully individualized fitness evaluation and programming service designed to meet you exactly where you are — whether you're recovering from injury, managing a chronic health condition, returning to exercise after a long break, or looking to optimize performance at an already high level.
Your assessment is conducted by our qualified fitness instructor, who brings both movement expertise and an understanding of how physical conditioning intersects with the other functional health services we offer — hormone optimization, IV therapy, and integrative healing. The result is a fitness plan that doesn't exist in isolation from your health, but works in concert with it.

key benefits
Individualized programming
Generic fitness programs fail because they are built for an average person — not for you. Your plan is constructed from your baseline assessment data, your specific goals, your lifestyle, and your physical limitations or strengths. What you receive is a program that will actually work for your body.
Accountability & Progress Tracking
A plan without follow-through is just a document. Your one-month follow-up appointment is designed to assess your progress, celebrate what's working, identify what needs adjustment, and keep you motivated and on track. Ongoing monthly check-ins are available for continued accountability.
Addresses Strength & Stability
Most fitness programs focus primarily on strength or cardiovascular fitness, neglecting the stability and neuromuscular control that prevent injury and support healthy movement patterns across decades. Our assessment specifically evaluates both, and your plan addresses both — systematically.
Science-Based Approach
Your plan integrates current evidence on strength training, stability, cardiovascular conditioning, and nutritional support — not generic advice or trending fitness fads. The programming reflects what the research consistently shows produces results safely and efficiently.
Integrated with your Clinical Care
Physical conditioning powerfully amplifies the benefits of hormone therapy, IV nutrition, and other functional health treatments. When your fitness plan is developed within a clinical context — rather than in isolation at a gym — it becomes a coordinated component of your broader health strategy.
Includes Nutrition Guidance
What you eat directly determines how your body responds to training — recovery, muscle synthesis, energy, and metabolic adaptation all depend on nutritional support. Your plan includes personalized nutritional recommendations aligned with your fitness goals.

frequently asked questions

I'm not very fit right now. Is this appropriate for me?
Yes — this assessment is specifically designed to meet you where you are, not where you think you should be. The baseline evaluation establishes your current reality without judgment, and your plan is built from that starting point. Many of our patients begin their fitness journey having been sedentary for years or recovering from illness or injury. Everyone starts somewhere.
How is this different than working with a personal trainer?
Our assessment is conducted within a clinical setting by a fitness professional who understands how physical conditioning integrates with functional health — hormones, nutrition, recovery, and metabolic health. Your plan is developed with your full health picture in view, not just your fitness goals in isolation. The one-month follow-up structure also ensures accountability and programmatic refinement that most personal training relationships lack.
Do i need any special equipment?
Your plan is designed around the equipment and environment you actually have access to — whether that is a fully equipped gym, a home with minimal equipment, or something in between. Your instructor will account for your resources when building your program.
What if i have an injury or chronic pain?
This is precisely where individualized assessment is most valuable. Your instructor will evaluate your movement limitations, identify compensatory patterns contributing to your pain, and design a program that builds strength and stability while working safely within your current physical boundaries. We work closely with our clinical providers to ensure your fitness plan complements any other treatment you are receiving.
Can this program be combined with hormone therapy or other services?
Absolutely — and we strongly encourage it. Physical conditioning is one of the most powerful modulators of hormone sensitivity, metabolic function, and overall health outcomes. Patients doing strength training alongside hormone therapy consistently see better results from both. Your fitness plan is designed to reinforce and amplify the benefits of every other service you receive at Wasatch Integrative Medicine
